Docker: An honest overview.
Docker changed my life, even more than I want to admit it.
Containers are all around us and there's no point in denying it. A lot of the apps you access daily run in Docker, a containerization softwa... What do you mean the wrong script?
Ahem, pardon the interaction, for this post we will focus on ships carrying containers, and not on technology that helps carry apps in containers.
So, cargo ships are indeed very fascinating. They carry cargo and they are ships, one could say they are even ships that carry cargo which is a bold statement but in itself it's not entirely false.
Container ships are specialized vessels engineered, designed and made to transport standardized containers. This system, known as THE GRAND CONTAINERIZATION OF CARGO (or simply containerization) emerged in the mid-20th century and has since become the Tailscale Backbone of international trade. The first ship designed with carrying containers in mind was the "Ideal X", which first set sail in 1956, carrying 58 containers from Newark to Houston.
This marked the beginning of a new era in shipping, where goods could be transported between multiple ships or vehicles without being repacked, as all the vessels already used a standardized kind of containers.
The design of these containers was optimized for privacy, convenience, simplicity and efficiency which makes them at least 1/4th better than MTech was in it's glorious days.
